Lake Havasu

We had the opportunity to go to Lake Havasu with our neighbors. Bob and Debbie they have a house down there and they needed to bring their boat and truck back home for the summer so we flew down to the Vegas airport on Friday the 15th and then drove the rest of the way to Havasu and then on the 20th we drove back home. We had so much fun and this was Hadlie's first airplane ride so she was pretty nervous. But greatly enjoyed the experience. The temperature was 111 degrees the whole time we were there and got down to about 92 degrees at night. But I loved it after being in cold weather for so many months. Thanks Bob and Debbie for letting us go and we had lots of fun.

This is the pool in their backyard. It was perfect with that shallow part. Hadlie enjoying the water. Thats all she did is swim.

Hadlie getting ready for a ride. Little did she know how fast we were going to go and it scared her half to death cuz the boat goes over 80 miles, and we were only going about 50 and she wasn't quite sure about it.

The Original London Bridge is behind us.

The bridge was really cool. Every brick was numbered when they tore it down so they could rebuild it. Where this bridge is there is a canal is what they call it and on the busy weekends all the boats back in on the sides and tie together and its just one great big party. Women with pastese and everything! Luckily we missed all that fun even though it would be interesting to see!



Hadlie and I posing for a pic. On Sunday night we went and walked underneath the London Bridge and looked around. There were a ton of bats under the walkway and in the cracks of the bridge.

On Tuesday we spent all afternoon on the boat and we pulled into a cove to eat lunch and to swim for a minute and cool off in the water.



There is a cove called Copper Canyon and its a hot spot for boats and Memorial weekend is the biggest time for down there so the Budlight boat was already there saving a spot for the weekend. It was a floating bar with huge speakers.

On the way home just South of Vegas there is a strip of Sand Dunes and there was this big Dust cloud it was really cool.
