24th Activities

Ogden does a lot of fun things for the 24th of July. They have the Horse and Hitch Parade. It's fun to go and see all the horses and we like to get street taco's and they have a concert and movie after, but we didn't stay for that this year. Also they have the children's parade which we did on a Saturday morning. We rode our bikes, it was a lot of fun. I didn't take very many pics, but here is one of us at the parade.


The night before the children's parade Spank was driving home from his parents and seen this bike in front of house at a yard sale, so he stopped to see how much and they said two dollars and so he gave them five dollars. The poor kid his mom said, "Say good bye to your bike." And the kid was really upset. It ended up being a West Coast Chopper bicycle. But it had two flat tires and it was all rusty and the bearings were all seized up. So Spank "Spankitized" and now it's got some fresh paint, a velvet seat, and all polished. Looks like a million bucks. So he was able to ride that in the children's parade.


They also do Fireworks at Weber State. We like to go early and just hang out. Spank and Hadlie took their bikes and rode around. It also happened to be The World Youth Championship for Archery that week, so the kids were staying at Weber State in the dorms, so where we were sitting they were walking right by us from the buses and it was really neat cuz they were from all over like, Japan, France, Russia, Beligan, Bolgaria, Tawian, and I can't remember the rest. The fireworks were really good this year.




We also went to the rodeo the first night it opened. Hadlie loves horses and rodeo's so she truly enjoyed it. And then we were watching Sabrina cuz Ranae and Travis went out of town for their anniversary. I forgot how much work a baby is. I don't know how people do it with more than one kid. I wish I had more but sometimes it's nice with one. Spank's parents and little sister and brother in law came too.
Spank and I (Check out Spank's homeless beard, it's the longest he has ever gone with out shaving. Which is one month. As you can tell it's hard for him to grow a beard.)





On the 24th we went to my parents for a BBQ and to do some fireworks. We took the slip in slide for the kids and they had lots of fun. The week before Bailey and Hadlie played on it for three hours.
